Though there are a lot of yoga studios in Austin, I found it difficult to find a place where I got proper individual attention. I found this place at Can Do Yoga. I trust Connie completely, her knowledge of anatomy combined with her extensive training in traditional Iyengar Yoga has been a true blessing for my spirit and body. I find the classes to be both enlightening and challenging. I leave each class with a better understanding of myself and my body.
In addition, I have been taking her class throughout my pregnancy. I have felt nothing but supported, cared for and strong. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be a student at Can Do Yoga. Thank you Connie!!!
I started attending Connie's yoga classes at CAN DO in
2013. After playing sports at a competitive level for years, my body was tired, stiff and achy.
My sporting days were over but I wanted/needed something to keep me in shape and feeling strong and healthy. With a history of knee and elbow injuries, I didn't feel comfortable attending a massive yoga class where I would be on my own to figure out the poses.
The small classes at CAN DO are awesome. Connie is in tune to each student (there are never more than 6), providing individualized instruction, adjustments, accommodations and encouragement. I feel I have gained flexibility, strength and body awareness since working with Connie. Yoga at Can Do is exercise everyone could benefit from at all levels of fitness and at any age. -Missy Monroe
Three years ago I began my yoga practice. I was intimidated and nervous and concerned about my physical abilities. Connie was and continues to this day, to be the perfect yoga instructor for me. She is welcoming and encouraging. I have never felt self- conscious in her class. She tailors the poses for i individuals based on their capabilities and comfort level. I love that her classes are small which allows Connie to give a lot of individual assistance when needed, of which I need a lot! I have grown in my practice and feel much more confident in my abilities because of Connie. I would also recommend Connie as an instructor simply because she is a wonderful person. She is funny and warm and personable and I know she has a genuine interest in my health and overall well-being.
